In honour of our name (ERAMAI which means in Ancient Greek ‘LOVE’) and with the respect, passion and love that is deserving, we are creating and operating a mindscape of moments and memories “STORIES BEHIND THE WALLS” a concept to which our guests can return time and time again, and collect the aura of this living monument, the hospitality and capture the desire of our guests dreams.
We are willing to offer them a genuine living experience rather than the necessity of a simple stay and we are focusing on human beings and their requirements. Our family envisions hospitality accompanied by value for its guests. We are influenced by the building dynamic and its culture and we respect the environment and care for its protection. We invest only in what is truly authentic.
We are well aware that modern travellers desire to become intimately accustomed with their destination. To taste, enjoy and explore.

We aspire to maintain our principles regarding green orientation in every aspect of our function and we encourage our guests to participate to this end. Following the most modern of approaches, we apply a series of environment-friendly practices which we believe contribute to making the world a better place without compromising the comfort, expectations and enjoyment of our guests
To lessen Eramai environmental impact:
- Environmental considerations are included in all managerial decisions.
- We operate a ‘switch off’ policy to shut down computer equipment and printers when not in use.
- We have installed electronic key locks in each room to save energy. When the guest is absent, all electronic devices (except the refrigerator) are switched off.
- We have installed a sensor switch which turns the AC off when the balcony door is open
- We use low energy light bulbs in all areas.
- We have reduced our usage of harmful cleaning chemicals (high concentration in chlorine, phosphoric acid and other dangerous chemicals) and replaced these with eco-friendly products.
- We recycle paper, plastic, glass, batteries and printer ink. Guests can find special bins at the suites area.
- We use recycled paper as much as possible for our brochures.
- We use electronic mail where possible to reduce the use of paper and print double sided.
- We donate partially used bathroom products (shampoo etc.) to local charities.
- We encourage Eramai guests to explore Achaia by environmentally-friendly means, through the use of public transport, bikes or on foot and provide information on walks, cycle routes and bus and train timetables.
- We buy products mainly from local professionals and producers to reduce the environmental footprint of goods transport.
- We offer natural personal care products.
- We always comply with the law concerning our environmental actions and constantly review our green policy to improve the environmental footprint of our business.
Environmental Policy
This year we are targeting to achieve:
- Reducing energy consumption by 3%
- The reduction of water consumption by 5%
- Restricting the use of one-use plastics by 7%
- The reduction of solid waste going to landfill by 10%
- The protection of the local fauna and flora with emphasis on strengthening biodiversity.
To this end
- We fully comply with environmental legislation and voluntarily adopt international standards for sustainable management to continuously improve our environmental footprint.
- We constantly monitor and record our consumption of energy, water and chemicals and the amounts of waste we produce.
- We develop an annual plan of measures and actions in relation to the replacement / upgrade of the hotel’s technical infrastructure and the improvement of its operating processes.
- We continuously train our staff and provide clear guidelines per department and job-role in order to enhance resources savings and the protection of the environment.
- In collaboration with our suppliers, we seek to purchase products that are environmentally friendly, have high energy efficiency, low water demands, reduced packaging and are certified for sustainable production and distribution (FSC, MSC, Fair Trade, etc.)
- We inform our guests about the applied measures with regard to our environmental and societal responsibility and we encourage them to help us achieve our goals by following a few simple and easy practices during their stay.
- We promote synergies and seek partnerships with local organizations, scientific institutions, environmental organizations and active citizens for the promotion, protection and improvement of ecosystems located in the vicinity of the hotel.
